Overview
Subscription Pilot helps you find recurring charges from a bank or credit card statement CSV. Subscription Hunter is our free on-site calculator for estimating subscription spend. This policy explains what we collect on subscriptionpilot.app and related product surfaces, and how we use it.
Our privacy principles
We designed the product to be local-first. Your statement CSV is processed in your browser. We do not require bank login credentials. We do not use AI or third-party AI APIs to process your bank statement data. Nothing from a scan is uploaded or stored on our servers unless you explicitly choose to save results to a dashboard.
Bank and credit card statement data
When you analyze a statement with Subscription Pilot, the CSV stays on your device for that session. We do not keep the file or a copy of its contents by default. If you close the tab without saving, that session data is gone. If you later choose to save results to a dashboard account, only the subscription information you confirm may be stored so you can track it over time, not your full raw statement unless the product clearly asks you to save that.
Subscription Hunter
Subscription Hunter runs in your browser. Selecting services, totals, insights, and optional PDF summaries are generated locally from what you tap or enter. We do not store your hunt selections on our servers. If you later join the waitlist or create an account from Hunter, only the information you submit for that purpose is collected.
Waitlist and account information
When you join the waitlist or request beta access, we collect your email address. You may also provide a name and industry. We use this to send access details, product updates, and related communication about Subscription Pilot. Email addresses are normalized and kept only as long as needed to operate the waitlist and product.
How we store waitlist data
Waitlist signups are stored in a secure database so we can manage beta access and communication. Optional name and industry fields are stored with your signup when you provide them.
Third-party services
We use trusted providers to run the site and communicate with users. This may include hosting and analytics (such as Vercel and Rybbit), email delivery (such as Loops), and database hosting (MongoDB). These providers process data on our behalf to operate the service.
Analytics
We use privacy-focused analytics to understand how visitors use the site, for example page views and waitlist or demo interactions. Analytics are not used to read or process the contents of your bank statement CSV.
Your choices
You can ask us to update or delete your waitlist information, or unsubscribe from emails, by contacting us at support@subscriptionpilot.app. You can scan and export results without saving anything to a dashboard. Exporting a CSV or PDF from a session does not by itself upload your statement to us.
Children
Subscription Pilot is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
